Under the Magnolias: Growing Up White in the South
This book includes 85 pictures which describe my childhood in the South. I was born in Atlanta, Georgia. My memories of those days are intimately linked to Willie Mae, the black lady who looked after me until I left home to go to college. I do believe she was a third parent to me, without her love my life would surely have been very different. The pictures in this book are a tribute to her and to her family.
