Víctor Junco has been teaching courses in Cultural and American Studies at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria since 1997. His PhD focused on the interaction between film and politics in Cold War America. He served as a member of the Executive Board of the Spanish Association for American Studies (SAAS) from 2009 to 2013. He has co-edited a volume on the tradition of dissent in U.S. history. His research interests include film, comics, cultural pedagogy and multiculturalism. Junco is currently researching the production of multidisciplinary discourses of resistance in the United States and the politics and economics of contemporary cinema.
